If you’re shipping internationally to anywhere from the UK, you’ll need to complete customs documents. This will be either a CN22 or CN23 form – depending on the value of the items you’re sending – or a commercial invoice. Customs charges for imports to South Africa are typically charged to the recipient. However, goods valued up to 500 ZAR are exempt from duty and VAT.

Mail to South Africa should include the receiver’s name on the first line, with the house number and street name on the second line.
The city goes on the third line, followed by a 4-digit postcode on the fourth line. Add SOUTH AFRICA, in block capitals, underneath.
