In addition to EU import regulations, every independent nation has its own unique customs guidelines, specific to the region. France is no different.
Whatever you’re looking to ship, it’s important to understand exactly what can and cannot be imported, what’s prohibited and any quantity or weight limits.
For example, France’s restricted items include ‘up to 20kg of fish and seafood’ or ‘up to 1 litre of spirits’ (exceeding 24% alcohol vol). Counterfeit goods and certain types of nuts are also banned. Be sure to look at the full list of prohibited and restricted items before sending.

Addressing parcels to France is a little different from labelling domestic parcels.
The receiver’s title and first and surnames go on the top line, with the surname written in capitals for clarity. The second line should feature the house number and road. And a five-digit postcode and the city go on the third line.
