PACK & SEND’s first ever International Student Bursary Award has been the catalyst for to submit some excellent submissions from very able and energetic students from around the world.
The Bursary is a £1,500 award which will be granted to a qualifying student undertaking a recognised course in a UK university or specialist college in 2020/21 academic year and has been introduced in recognition of the contribution that students from overseas make to this country.
Whilst applications do not close until the end of the month, the bar has already been set high with submissions being received from destinations as far afield as Europe, Africa, the Americas and SE Asia. All the students have cited the quality of teaching and the breadth and depth of research undertaken in UK institutions as significant factors in choosing to study here. Of course, many have also said that they are looking forward to seeing some of the many sights and enjoying the unique culture of the UK as well!
”Its obvious from the entries that we have already received for the Award”, said Mike Ryan, PACK & SEND UK CEO, “that those who come to this country to study bring a vitality and hunger to learn that will enhance the university experience for everybody. This is going to be hugely important in the coming year as our great learning institutions come to terms with the ‘new’ normal in higher education”
Entries are still welcomed for the Award and can be completed via our online form. The deadline for submission is Monday, August 31st.
