Kathy Dalwood is an independent artist who specialises in unique plaster and tile sculptures. Based in London, Kathy’s customers are demanding in terms of the highest levels of product and service.
Shipments can be of single sculpture to multiple pieces that form one piece of artwork, for furnishing a customer’s home or hotel, and for selling in high-end Department Stores.
Kathy’s sculptures are popular in the US and in every case, the pieces are appropriately wrapped and either securely packed into a crate, or packed into hard boxes lined with a specialist foam lining to withstand shock and vibration, and manifested by PACK & SEND Spitalfields to ensure smooth delivery to the customers’ address.
The sculptures typically comprise fragile elements that require particular attention during the packing process to ensure no marking or breakage whilst in transit.
What made you choose PACK & SEND?
I was looking for a company that offered specialist packaging systems for extremely fragile artworks. The injection foam system has proved to be the perfect solution for this, offering a complete ‘cocoon’ of lightweight polystyrene which totally protects the item. I didn’t find another company which offered this packing system.
What is the best aspect of the work they did/do?
The spray-on foam is described above. Further to this, PACK & SEND have created packing solutions for a large variety of international shipments in a range of sizes and weights, some requiring palletisation, all of which have been successfully delivered.

They are problem solvers, so I can rely on them 100% to create bespoke solutions for all my shipping requirements.
