Chief Executive

Mike has 25 years of experience within the retail and leisure markets, gained in marketing, buying, and general management. He has been involved in both publicly listed and private equity-backed businesses and has proven experience in building business value through the leadership of people and developing propositions based on customer understanding.

As Chief Executive, he led the direct selling business Betterware International LTD through to its recent sale to Vision Capital. Previously he served on the Boards of First Choice Holidays PLC, Thorn PLC, and Bright Reasons Restaurants before which he held senior management roles within the Boots Group and Thorn EMI.

Martyn Grealey

Director

Martyn has 30 years of experience within the leisure market, gained in marketing, operations, and general management. The majority of his career has been with Allied Domecq PLC and he served on the boards of a number of their operating businesses in marketing, operations, and general management positions.

He has significant experience in the national rollouts in the bars, restaurant, hotel, and fitness sectors. Most recently he was CEO of Crown Sports PLC where he led a successful turnaround of the business and its sale to LA Fitness.

Jerry Berstein

Jerry is an experienced leisure operator having spent the majority of his career at Allied Domecq. He has particular experience of franchising having been involved as General Manager with the Baskin Robbins and Dunkin Donuts brands for Allied and in particular the adaptation and introduction of the US business into the UK market. He also served on the boards of Whitbread Pubs Division and Allied Domecq as Retail Operations Director.

He currently runs a successful HR outsourcing business and acts as a coach and mentor to the middle to senior managers within large corporations.

Chris Storr

Chris is an experienced Finance Director with extensive experience in managing change across a broad portfolio of business functions within multi-site leisure/retail/hospitality sectors and having operated for many years at operational and investor Board level in both PLC and Private Equity environments.

Chris has served on the boards of LA Fitness PLC, MegaBowl LTD, and Pontins Holidays as Group Finance Director, before which he held senior finance positions within CentreParks and the Courtaulds Group.

Tony Fowles

Tony Fowles

General Manager

Tony is an experienced operator and marketer who is joining the business in the key role of General Manager. He has joined the business from Safestore PLC where he was Regional Operations Manager, and before that was a Regional Sales Manager with LA fitness.

He has significant sales, operations, and marketing experience in the leisure and retail markets and has a proven track record of improving performance in multi-site operations through driving sales and customer service programmes. Tony is responsible for all areas of service centre operations, training, and service centre marketing.

Graeme Rhodes

Head of Marketing

Having previously held senior roles at O2, BT, Securicor, Unipart and Thorn EMI, Graeme is a highly experienced operational marketer who has both built and run retail store chains in the UK and Germany.

He has extensive consumer and new media marketing experience and also brings strong product and channel marketing skills to PACK & SEND.

Richard Webb

General Manager - Franchisee Recruitment & On-Boarding

Richard is an experienced senior manager with 30 years of experience in advertising agencies and newspaper publishing. Having learned the PACK & SEND business as one of their earliest UK franchisees, he joined the team as a senior manager with specific responsibility for the Richmond Park Company Service Centre.

With extensive experience in P&L management and driving revenue and profit, he took the Richmond Park service centre to be one of the top-performing service centres in the network before its sale to another franchisee.

He now heads the company's franchisee recruitment and on-boarding activities and provides experienced support for the wider franchise network.

Phil Rivers

Franchisee Training and Support Manager

After 30 years in the performance and entertainment industry, Phil joined PACK & SEND on its introduction to the UK in 2009. His experience in all manual and management positions at the flagship Reading Service Centre has enabled him to fulfil the role of training, developing and supporting the growing team there, and throughout the network.

In his position as Franchisee Training and Support Manager, he provides both classroom and on-site instruction for new staff and franchisees. He also acts to support franchisees in the set-up, opening and ongoing development of their new business within the growing network of Service Centres.

Gladys Lawson

Management Accountant

Gladys has over 25 years of management accounting, budgets, forecasting, and financial planning experience. She has worked in corporate multi global companies and also SME. She is ACCA part qualified and also QBE.

She has also worked with Panavision as Senior Management Accountant, Accountant with Sunningdale Golf Club, Financial Analyst with Fiat Financial services and held a position as a Financial Controller.

In her role with PACK & SEND, she is in charge of the finance/HR department.

Darius Giertler

Business Administrator

Before PACK & SEND, Darius had a few different occupations. His previous jobs were concentrated around numbers and people. He was a math teacher, accountant, store manager and he has led an administration team in Polish mail.

He has been working in PACK & SEND since 2013. He started off working in our Service Centres and now he is working in our Head Office. A large part of his role is working on computers doing invoices but his many years of experience have made him able to advise the customer on the best way to pack and send their belongings.

In his private life, he loves history, especially the middle-ages and 20th century. Darius also enjoys travelling, films and books.

Craig Millard

Service Centre Manager

Craig comes from a sales and retail background in Clarks where he held a senior store manager role and over a 14-year career he ran some of the company’s flagship stores including Reading, Oxford and Basingstoke. He has been involved in company-wide training initiatives, from writing and running various training courses to develop management skills at all levels to being out in the field on store visits to enable teams to maximise their customer service proposition.

He saw a real opportunity in PACK & SEND and was very excited when the role of Service Centre manager came up. He is responsible for the day to day running of the Service Centre, ensuring all enquiries are dealt with promptly, planning daily collections and ultimately ensuring our customer’s items are packed and shipped with the care and professionalism they expect.

Henry Brent

Major Account Manager

After graduating from the University of Liverpool in Geophysics, Henry joined PACK & SEND as the first Graduate Management Trainee in 2018. After several months he was promoted to Deputy Manager, and by 2019 he was managing the largest Service Centre by revenue located in central Reading. PACK & SEND has enjoyed considerable growth over the last few years and our once humble Reading Service Centre is now a fully-fledged warehouse and distribution centre.

His current role as Major Account Manager is looking after and developing our key accounts who have particularly complex shipping needs. He has a passion for underground electronic music and you'll often find him on a night out in Brixton.
