CUSTOMS REQUIREMENTS FOR SINGAPORE

You must be aware of any import regulations before shipping goods to Singapore. If you attempt to import a parcel without the right customs documents, it may be seized or destroyed.

UK senders will need to complete a commercial invoice to allow their packages to pass through Singaporean customs. This is so border officials can correctly identify whether the items inside are subject to import duties and how much they need to charge.

Imports and exports from Singapore may also require senders to complete a Single Administrative Document (SAD) that declares your goods with customs authorities in the region.

PACK & SEND understands the ins and outs of Asia’s regional customs regulations. So, we’ll do all the heavy lifting to minimise any delays or issues in shipping.

During transit, we’ll inform you of any customs clearance issues if they do arise. However, we work with you before shipping to avoid any problems.

SHIPPING RESTRICTIONS FOR SINGAPORE

Like every country, Singapore has its own strict set of customs regulations outlining what can and cannot be imported and in what quantities.

Before shipping, you’ll need to check your items don’t fall into the restricted or prohibited categories. Be sure to double-check the quantities and allowances for your restricted items and source any licenses you’ll need ahead of time.

For example, the Singaporean government has banned chewing gum, chewing tobacco and any imitation tobacco products like e-cigarettes. Check out the full list of prohibited and restricted products before organising your shipment.

PACK & SEND is an expert in international customs regulations and we’ll run you through your options to guarantee timely and regionally compliant delivery. Speak to us for more information on the services we provide.

ADDRESSING PACKAGES TO SINGAPORE

Following the correct addressing guidelines for Singapore is important for the timely arrival of your package and to avoid confusion.

In Singapore, the receiver’s full name goes on the first line, with the flat or house number and the road name on the second line.

The third line is reserved for the locality and a 6-digit postcode, with ‘SINGAPORE’ on the fourth line.

It should look something like this:

Ms Tan Bee Soo
16 Sandilands Road
SINGAPORE 546080
REPUBLIC OF SINGAPORE
